Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using shortlisted.cv ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

shortlisted.cv is an AI-powered CV optimisation tool. You upload your CV and a job description, and the Service generates a tailored, ATS-optimised version of your CV. The Service also includes gap analysis, targeted questions, and a knowledge profile.

Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account or use another person's account without permission. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

AI Accuracy Disclaimer

The AI-generated CVs produced by shortlisted.cv are provided for assistance only. shortlisted.cv does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any generated content.

You must verify all information in any AI-generated CV for correctness before submitting it to any prospective employer. The AI is designed to restructure and highlight your existing experience — it should not invent qualifications — but errors are possible.

shortlisted.cv accepts no liability for inaccuracies in AI-generated output or for any consequences arising from the use of such output.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to generate CVs containing false or misleading information
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
  • Use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service
  • Resell, sublicence, or redistribute access to the Service
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of any content you upload to the Service, including your original CV and Q&A responses. The AI-generated output is provided to you for your personal and professional use.

The Service itself — including its design, code, brand, and AI prompts — is owned by shortlisted.cv and may not be copied or reproduced.

Payment and Subscriptions

Subscriptions are billed monthly via our payment provider (Polar). You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Your access will continue until the end of the current billing period.

No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. If a payment fails, your subscription may be suspended until the payment issue is resolved.

Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, shortlisted.cv shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, are used for unlawful purposes, or are abusive to the Service or its users. We will endeavour to provide notice before termination where practical.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
