Hi I'm Billy, the founder of shortlisted.cv. This app started with a frustration most people have experienced, spending hours tailoring the CV's for every application, only to hear nothing back.

I built a tool that takes your existing CV and a job description, analyses the gaps, and generates a tailored, ATS-optimised version in seconds. No more guessing which keywords to include or how to restructure your experience.

During my last job search I found myself tweaking the same CV for every single application. It took forever, was prone to mistakes, and left me with a mess of slightly different documents I could barely keep track of.

Eventually I started using OpenAI to help by feeding it my CV and getting it to ask me questions so it could tailor the result towards each job description. It was better, but still far from perfect. I had to re-upload my CV every time, the process wasn't specialised for CV writing, and the whole workflow still felt clunky.

That frustration is what led me to build shortlisted.cv, a dedicated tool where I could organise my CVs in one place and tailor them to any role without re-uploading each time. I'm a solo builder, and every feature exists because I hit the same pain point myself first.
